Who We Are

Church History

The church has been established on this plot of land since July 13, 1925. It has weather the test of time with several name changes and a fire, but is still standing as a beacon of light in our community.

Our Pastors

Pastor Russell answered the call to ministry in 1999 under the mentorship of Reverend David E. Johnson. He has pursued the Lord passionately and has learned along the way to serve in many different capacities both in the Body of Christ (Church) and out in the community. If he is not building something with his hands, he is building someone up with the foundational truth of God’s Word.

His life Scripture is Acts 10:38.

Russell married Tammy (Harden) in January of 1987. They are blessed with two grown daughters and three grandchildren.

Russell and Tammy have been the Shepherd of SLC church family since the Fall of 1999.
